    The manin the bowtie says things that are impossible to know, then calls it "science." This science is not reality. It is his religion, subject to change whenever it suits him, no different from Abrahamism.

  • @wolfpowers2867
    @wolfpowers2867 28 днів тому

    I do not accept the man in the bowtie's scientism. Historically and for centuries, maybe thousands of years, life begins when the first breath is drawn. This has been used in the 20th century, as recently as the 1990s. What has changed? I know a woman who went to prison on the doubt that her child may have drawn a breath rather than been stillborn back in the 1990s. The idea that the spirit is in the breath exists in the language, not the English one, but in other languages.

    Why are these people working in law but don’t seem to believe in it? Funny isn’t it that if we describe a society as ‘lawless’ I’d expect 99% of us wouldn’t want to live there but that seems to be what they’re proposing.

    Lol. Always such weak arguments that are easily destroyed to try and keep the EC. It's time to abolish it and those against it have a clear agenda trying to remain in power through minority rule. Just like when we were on the verge of passing legislation to abolish it was blocked, southern racists and ironically NY blacks (who had outsized power at the time) banded together to keep it. Every party and coalition has wanted to abolish the EC, it just depends on if you are in power or not. It's anti democratic and there is literally zero excuse for it today.

    I dont think its a republican vs democrat thing. Its more of a "do you mind losing fairly versus do you mind winning unfairly. Thats why the powers that be are terrified to see it go away, mostly republicans. They simply know they will get trounced with that system, or radical idea - 50 states. 1 elec vote per state. 26 wins? If its a split 25-25 go on pop vote

    This is all conjecture. No one bats an eye on how asians are seen as having to NEED to excel academically. We have even higher expectations put on us than blacks because blacks have a regular IQ in the 2 digits, and asians in the 3's. One doesn't complain, but gets along just fine. Can you guess which is which?

    From the oral arguments, SCOTUS is more interested in the outcome and what precedent that has taken place. Of course there is no precedent. This is once in a lifetime event. SCOTUS needs to set precedent rather than open new loopholes. Trump has stated numerous times that he doesn't intend to uphold the Constitution. He claims fraudulent powers, wants to become authoritarian for a day (what is to stop him from continuing?), and wants to exact revenge upon all his opponents. He has weaponized the DOJ as his personal lawyers. SCOTUS doesn't want States to disqualify, even though it's States that run elections, but who does bring this matter up if 14th Amendment is self executing? Class action suit? Congress can overturn disqualification but does they have the power to disqualify when it's the States that run it? SCOTUS wants the judicial system to prove insurrection when Trump delays and claims immunity. What happens if Trump is convicted but wins the election? It's better to provide clarity since no other disqualified person was ever convicted either. If President is not an office holder, then why was every President required to swore an oath to uphold the Constitution? Couldn't Trump also not attend the ceremony since he also didn't attend his successor ceremony? Trump could also claim he doesn't need to swear an oath since President isn't an office holder.

    This is neither a solicitation nor an invitation, this Is the truth. I am and have been completely abstinent for what will be eight years (excluding a few days in 2016) here in Philadelphia PA USA over seven and one half (almost eight) years overall. (with the exception of one day in early 2018 not in Pennsylvania), and never left America). My eldest son (who is diagnosed with a disability, but who I am teaching) is still a virgin (to my absolute very, very, very, very, very,very, very, very, very, best knowledge), and my youngest son is married and expecting a baby girl with his pregnant wife. 05-23-2023 (while I was running for Congress)-02-05-2024 or whenever this mess stops, nor do we have STI's or STD's, no Cancer, no COVID-19, not LGBTQIA and do not have sex, nor have been sexually active in years, and no longer have a menstrual cycle. I was a virgin when I went to college, and was at home praying on September 11th 2001 as well as election days (normally). I have not been paid by my job with Patriot Home Care, Inc in over 40 weeks.

    It’s amazing to me that these pro-life men genuinely think that if fetus at eight weeks is the same as a two year-old child. It’s like they live on a different planet and I think it’s because they’ve never actually stepped back to think, “ wow imagine if I personally was pregnant and was feeling nauseous 28 hours a day I was poor and couldn’t work due to the pain and nausea, my landlord called me and told me that me and my toddler child were going to be evicted, and I really don’t want to go through with this pregnancy because I’m in such anguish” Then, literally being arrested by the authorities, and put on trial for murder with the punishment being decades in prison, since it’s “murder”, the same as murdering a two-year-old, so now her toddler will be without a mother or family in the foster care system because this woman didn’t want to let a pregnancy destroy her life. These people are generally just religious zealots..

      Also, the sexism of it all, if you’re a woman, you not ultimately sacrificing yourself is considered murder. If you’re a man just continue with the wars, terrorist attacks, killing billions of sentient animals yearly, and mass shootings. subconsciously at the bottom of this. I think it’s because these people want to enforce gender roles and find it really uncomfortable to allow women to not sacrifice themselves for the good of fetuses and offspring. They don’t like the idea of women killing or even wanting to…even to save her own life, even though men do it all the time

    It was amazing when David followed up with the lady that said, oh don’t worry you still have equal rights even if you can’t abort your fetus, and David says yeah, I mean you still have equal rights but you’ll be hauled in jail. If you don’t have a baby who will die or who will financially bankrupt you or who could kill you but don’t worry ladies you still have equal rights. This is what your male politicians say. I rarely see such a brilliant exchange Also, Michelle is incredibly intelligent and just amazing on this topic

    Raskin is a joke. This is an important debate if based on good faith participation. However, we all know Raskin wants the popular vote because it does favor Dems in NY, California, etc…. He said you wouldn’t just campaign in the population centers. That is exactly why Hillary lost. She ignored what she thought were inconsequential states and she lost them. It always amazes me that Dems keep perpetuating this myth that the parties ‘switched” in the South thereby absolving the Dems of their incredibly racist history.

    The issues that people have with the Electoral College and why 2000 amd 2016 happened, can be addressed directly. Are we tired of swing States having all the same and winner-take-all? Then get all of the states to agree to an interstate compact that would have them distribute the Electoral College votes in proportion to the popular vote within their state. Are we tired of having broad disparities between ratios of population to Electoral College vote between the small and big states and maybe even the disparity between voter turn out and the number of electoral votes that state possesses? Then we get Congress to agree to an amendment that would assign Electoral College votes to States based on voter turnout that is equal across all 50 states.
